Katie Beedon
Katie is a former K-12 science teacher with ten years
experience in Sacramento and San Diego, California, as well
as in West/Central Africa (Katie speaks fluent French.) She has
a Multiple Subjects teaching credential, a Single-subject Life
Science teaching credential, and an M.A. in Educational
Technology from San Diego State University. Katie has also
taught “Technologies for Teaching ”as an adjunct teacher for San Diego State University. Katie is also a Cisco Certified
Design Associate.
Katie joined the AT&T Education team in
1995. In her first year, she worked as an application designer
for the Knowledge Network Explorer website. In the following
year, Katie became an Education Director for the greater
San Diego area assisting education customers with technology
planning, instructional technology integration, K-20 interactive videoconferencing, community technology initiatives, technology
and E-rate funding seminars, and staff development training.
In 2003, Katie relocated to Houston, TX to become part of the AT&T Southwest education initiative. In 2005, Katie co-founded
the Greater Houston Education Collaboration Group; a collaborative community of decision
makers amongst Houston’s higher education and K12 institutes.
